In 1993, I was asked by GTE executives to figure out what the coming "information superhighway" was all about. We formed a small strategy team that came back to them with an answer: The World Wide Web.
I was a strategic planning manager for GTE Directories, one of the largest Yellow Pages advertising companies in the world. And I knew that the Internet would change the world of advertising and information in a very dramatic way. I envisioned SUPERPAGES - a new way to connect advertisers and consumers in the local market.
GTE gave me a shot at designing the future and SuperPages.com was launched 12 years ago. In 2007, the business had revenues of more than $250 million.
Since then, I've worked in senior roles in companies that have delivered brands, services, and software that connect people and businesses in a variety of markets via the Web, toll-free, wireless, and B2B networks.
